Systems Administrator [CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Linux LPIC‑1]
Gauteng, JHB – Eastern Suburbs
We are looking for a System Administrator to configure, maintain, and support enterprise systems infrastructure across multiple branches and data centres, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, virtual machines, and web platforms
- Monitor system health, backups, capacity, and performance
- Implement patches, updates, and security controls
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, performance, and access issues
- Support disaster recovery, data restoration, and backup systems
- Collaborate with Network Administrators and IT Support teams
- Maintain system documentation, licences, and configurations
- Perform basic infrastructure and UPS operational checks
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- CompTIA A+ and Network+
- Linux LPIC‑1
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in IT Support/System Administration in a medium to large corporate environment
- Hands‑on experience with server hardware (Dell/HP preferred)
Advantageous
- VMware certification
- MCSE
- Experience with Windows Server 2016–2019, Hyper‑V, Linux infrastructure, and networking
Skills & Attributes
- Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of backup, recovery, and security best practices
- Good scripting ability
- Calm under pressure, reliable, and detail‑oriented
- Able to work independently and in a team
